The children’s yoga classes are all about empowering movement and mindfulness. 

 Children practise safe and age-appropriate yoga poses in a playful and engaging manner.

Expect to learn facts about nature and gain a greater understanding of the ancient and modern world from children after our classes!

This holistic approach includes breathing exercises and guided visualisations to promote focus, concentration, self-regulation and better sleep.

Yoga nidra- a guided practice performed lying down in savasana. It is designed to soothe you into a state of profound relaxation between sleep and wakefulness without losing awareness. Translated as yogic sleep, this meditative and reflective technique releases tension and stress while nurturing wellbeing. 

Mindful mandala workshops– Under supervision, and with continued support, children are given the freedom and space to create a series of mandalas. Mandalas are an imaginative tool that encourages expression and provides an outlet for thoughts and ideas. This mindful activity improves children’s focus and promotes their creativity. 

Handstand workshops (for 10yr+)- this strength building posture is the safest full inversion for children to perform. Yoga inversions provide surprising benefits to the body, mood, and energy. Being upside-down helps blood circulation to the upper body, increases focus and concentration, and allows the brain to release endorphins that enhance mood. There is a huge sense of achievement in being able to do a successful handstand! 

Yoga for teenage anxiety or exam stress– an effective therapeutic approach in reducing anxiety and stress levels. The parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system is stimulated using appropriate breathing techniques and restorative poses.
