      <image:title>About - omnes in Latin means everyone or everything. OM (ॐ) is the sacred sound of the universe; it is an all-encompassing vibration that unifies everyone and everything.</image:title>
      <image:caption>Having worked in education for 20 years, I often noticed a lack of pastoral care in terms of wellbeing, wellness and mindfulness. A few fortuitous events opened my heart and mind to yoga and everything that falls under its broad umbrella. An unfortunate spinal injury had caused me to think that I would never be able to put on my own socks again, let alone walk, but after many hospital visits, MRI scans, operations and zombie-state inducing medication, I sought out different methods of movement and healing. And so my journey with yoga began! One misconception is that yoga practice is restricted to rigorous asanas or poses. Yoga may start with the preparatory exercise of the physical body but, by controlling the breath and focusing the mind we can nurture our inner wellbeing, reach peace and harmonise ourselves with the universe. My passions are many but simple: my dog (he often joins my online classes!) music, nature, the sun and moon, crystals, travelling, yoga, Latin and Greek, and freeing my inner-child from its conditioning. What makes me feel serene is helping others -whether it be by sound healing, teaching breathing techniques to relieve anxiety and stress, or purely listening or making people laugh!  My odyssey discovering yoga has been an extremely positive force in my life. I would like others to feel a similar benefit by sharing the profound and healing effects of yoga, meditation and mindfulness.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>Sound Healing Sound Healing has a wide range of wellness benefits - from reducing anxiety, stress and pain to lifting the mood and calming the mind. Healing uses sound and vibration. It is one of the oldest, most natural and most powerful ways of healing in existence, dating back more than 3000 years. Sound Healing works on the principle that everything in the universe is energy in vibration. Nikola Tesla once said, If you want to find the secrets of the universe, think in terms of energy, frequency and vibration. We all have our favourite songs that expand our hearts when we listen to them. Some vibrations cause us to expand and some cause us to contract.The rhythmic frequencies produced by ancient instruments, like Himalayan bowls and gongs, during our Sound Healing sessions, layer into a sea of vibration. These waves can help us shift from the energy frequencies of guilt, anger and fear, to vibrations of love, happiness and peace. The echo and vibrations created interact with the water in our bodies, with our DNA and even with our chakra system helping our bodies to feel, heal, rest and release.  Experiments by Royal Rife and Masaru Emoto have scientifically proved the benefits and effects of sound, frequencies and vibrations. The natural healing process of a discordant part of the body is triggered so that balance and harmony can be restored.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>The 3 principles of Yin Yoga are: finding your edge, being still, holding the pose. Yin Yoga is not a workout but rather a work-in. We come to an edge in a pose and become still. With this more meditative approach, as we hold a pose we go within.  Yin Yoga is simple, but simple does not mean it will be easy. Poses may be fewer than in a Vinyasa class but we remain in the postures anywhere from one to five minutes.  Yin Yoga is not restorative yoga. If you are injured in any way, allow yourself to heal before resuming your practice. We will be targeting connective tissues such as the ligaments, bones, and joints of the body that are not normally specifically exercised in a more active style of practice.  Here are a few of the many mental, energetic and physical benefits. Yin Yoga poses: will reduce stress, activate your parasympathetic (rest and digest) nervous system, lower blood pressure, and lead to a healthier and thus happier life, improve flexibility and range of motion, improve lubrication through greater hydration of our tissues, encourage the production of collagen which promotes healthy, younger looking skin and allows joints to move and fascia to slide more easily, stimulate and nourish organs through acupressure via compression of the meridian lines. Classes may be based on a target area, on a particular chakra, on meridian lines or on a particular theme.  Modifications are given for all poses so everyone is welcome – there is no I’m good or bad at yoga in our classes, there is just listen to your own body and what it tells you.</image:caption>

      <image:caption>The Sanskrit word Ashtanga translates as eight limbs, referring to the eight limbs of yoga as outlined by the sage Patanjali in his renowned text, the Yoga Sutras. He defined yoga as the stilling of the fluctuations of the mind. These eight limbs of yoga are: Yamas (behavioural observances – ethical standards) Niyamas (behavioural restraints – self discipline) Asana (practice of physical poses) Pranayama (practice of breathing techniques to control one’s life force energy) Pratyahara (withdrawal of the senses) Dharana (concentration) Dhyana (meditation) Samadhi (transcendence) Ashtanga yoga is the practice of this eight-fold path in order to experience this calm yogic state. It is a dynamic, physically demanding style of yoga synchronising breath with movement. The Primary Series aims to detoxify and realign the body in moving meditation. The structure of the Primary Series is: 5 Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation) A 3-5 Surya Namaskara (Sun Salutation) B a sequence of standing poses – forward folds, twists and balances a sequence of seated poses – more forward folds, hip openers and twists (and…many of the signature Ashtanga vinyasas – a set flow used to link each asana that builds strength, keeps the heart rate up and may cause you to question why you practise yoga!) finishing sequence – counter poses, backbends, shoulder stand variations and headstand. In our assisted self-practice, we follow this traditional sequence of poses each time, gradually progressing through the series but modified versions are available.</image:caption>
